Tammy:  We will be arriving in Beijing on November 30. I am looking for a quote for the following: Private Tour (English) Tourguide and transportation (like a van) for the three of us (my parents and I) for the four days that we are in Beijing. We are larger people, and would like to hire a van for comfort. We are interested in a private tour as follows: The three of us are met by private guide at the Beijing Airport on 11-30-07 at 3:30 PM and taken to our hotel. We would rest this night. The next day, 12/1 we would want to go to Visit Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City, Temple of Heaven and the Summer Palace. We would want to see Kung Fu Show this night. Please include quote that includes lunch/dinner. The second full day, 12/2 we would want to visit the Great Wall, the Sacred Road, and the Ming Tombs. We would be interested in seeing the Chinese Acrobats this night. Please include a quote that includes lunch/dinner. The third day 12/3, we are open to what we would see, but we want to see as much as possible. Maybe the pandas, zoo, Marco Polo Bridge, Lama Temple? Maybe UNESCO site of Peking Man? Maybe a walk through the Hutong area? We don’t want to do a rickshaw. We would be open to any suggestions/ideas for this day. We would be interested in a night light tour of the city or another show. The fourth day, 12/4, we are interested in seeing ˝ day of something………maybe National Park and Asian Olympic Village? Then we would need to be transported to Xingang port to meet our cruise ship, the Sapphire Princess. Please give us a quote/proposal for three and a half days of sightseeing, lunch/dinner, and night shows, including transportation and a private guide/van. We don’t care what we see each day, as long as we see as much as possible and have a totally full day of sightseeing. We move fast and want to see as much as possible. Our only requirements are Great Wall, Sacred Road, Ming Tombs, Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City, Temple of Heaven and Summer Place. The rest is open for suggestions. Looking forward to your quote. Tammy
Sandy:  I have read some of the reviews people have posted about their experience with your service. I plan to arrive in Beijing sometime on maybe Tuesday or Wednesday this week. I have read a little of the history of China and am very interested in learning more. First, I will tell you a little about me. I am a single, adventurous man who enjoys culture, laughing and dancing. A pleasant conversation is very important. I like to do almost any outdoor activity while enjoying the local people. When I travel to different places, I like to dine where the local people dine and have fun. I will be in China for maybe 10-13 days. I have read there are many tour huides who like to overcharge tourists from other countries. I figure life is meant to be lived and enjoyed so if you could help me with your services, I would appreciate it. When I arrive, I may stay at a hotel near the airport, but would like to stay somewhere else that costs less than $60 USD (409 Yuan?) per night. I need to stay somewhere that is safe and clean. Maybe apartment style? Would you be able to help me with this? My travel plans would be to experience the Great Wall and other important/sacred areas that make China as famous as it is. Shanghai sounds like a good opportunity as well. What do you think? I would also like to experience dancing at a nice disco club. Annie, I will also need to buy some proper, inexpensive clothing that I can take back with me. Since I very much enjoy taking photos, can you recommend a good camera store to purchase a tripod stand for my camera? I may need your assistance in negotiating for prices though! :-) Lastly, please let me know of the best way to contact you when I arrive in Beijing. If this is not to much trouble, I would like to understand how much your services cost. If possible, I would like your assistance for maybe 10 days? Please let me know your rules and conditions. I am eager to hear from you and begin enjoying China! Take care and enjoy your day.
Dee:  First let me say that I'm not 100% sure that I can even take a trip, but I'm concerned that we may not be able to very soon because of the economy, and if there is going to be a problem with scheduling a visit 3 or 4 years down the road because of this, then I want to arrange a trip very soon. With that said, let me explain what I'm looking for. I want to make arrangements to travel to China with my 7 year old daughter who was adopted from China at age 8 months. We would like to tour an area we have not visited for maybe a few days, then we would like to spend the bulk of our time in the area where she is from, Jiangxi Province. We would like to spend quality time in this area. When we returned in 2006, we were only there for 2 days, and this simply wasn't enough time. I would also like to arrange to have our foster family join us in Nanchang at our hotel for a few days. We also want to spend a few days with them in their town (Huibu). So, if you think that something like this is possible, please let me know. Last trip, we visited Beijing, Xi'an, Chengdu, Jiangxi & Guangzhou. I would prefer to visit other places, like Guilin & Shanghai. I don't want to visit 5 different cities---only 2 plus Jiangxi province. I would need to have a guide in Jiangxi who can help us with arranging transportation and translating---I need someone who can speak very good English, and also understand Nanchang dialect. Also, maybe you can let me know how expensive something like this will be. I don't want to spend too much. If we have to cut it down to 1 other city and Jiangxi province, then that would be okay too. We're looking at 10 to 14 days total travel time. Thank you!
