Anne: Hello, I am a travel agent with clients that are coming to Europe on the Queen Mary and returning to the USA the same way. Once they arrive in London and until they join up with the Cunard Line Tour starting in Paris, they need a private tour. They are elderly and do not want to be on their own. We have not made hotel arrangements at this point either.
Here are the details:
Couple in their eighties.
Arrive London by the Queen Mary 2, 6am on September 9, 2008
Need careful tending during their stay. Transports to hotel, tours, etc.
Three or four days in England then to Paris. Several days in France ending at the Paris Hilton on September 17th.
On their return to London after 9/17/09 via the Cunard tour, they will be given the typical half day tour of Paris and half day tour of London so please do not include these tours.
They are interested in history. One day or over night trip into the countryside in both England and France may be nice. An afternoon tea in London would be good. Two rest days would be appropriate with maybe just an afternoon or evening activity but most of the day free.
They want moderate priced lodgings.
Thank you for your assistance.
Suzanne: Hi Anne,
I looked you up on the internet as my boss, his parents and his two sons, 6 and 8 are going to be in London in August and would like a 3 or 4 hour private tour. They are all in excellent health and are very mobile so some walking would be fine. The youngest son does tend to tire a little earlier than the others, so I would not recommend anything too strenuous.
They have been there before and I asked if there was anything they did or did not want to see again and they said no.
So I am wondering if you could send me a couple of suggested itineraries (sp?) and the approximate cost. I suspect they will be staying at the Holiday Inn Kings Cross. They are wanting this to take place on August 14th.
I look forward to hearing from you at your earliest convenience.
Diane: My daughter and I will be visiting England for the first time, arriving April 6 at Bristol and departing the 15th from Heathrow. We'll be staying four nights at Thornbury Castle, then two at Old Bell Hotel in Malmsbury, and then on to London. While staying at Thornbury, we'd like to see some of Cornwall, Wales, the Cotswolds and Stratford. We are interested in historic sites, archaeology, birding and natural areas. I really don't want to spend our vacation trying to drive in unfamiliar areas. Do you offer services in the Bristol and Malmsbury areas? If so, what are your charges? We are ardent non-smokers. Thank you for your time. Diane
Linda: We have a party of 6 people...all women from ages 35 to 86 years old. We will be in London on Monday Nov. 29th. We would like a tour of London starting at 8:00 a.m. from the City Inn Westminster and ending back there at approximately 4:00 p.m. I know that it isn't much time but we would love an overview of the city....seeing as much as possible.
Please let me know if you might be available and the cost of a tour like this.
Also we are looking for transportation from Heathrow to the hotel on Saturday Nov. 27. We land at Heathrow at noon. If you do not provide this service, perhaps you could recommend someone.
