Allyson: We have a group of 40 cruise passengers. Please give me a quote 8 hours tour and availability on Nov 28. We've arrange coach already.
Here is our tour itinerary:
Depart for Saint Remy de Provence, which acts as a link between the Arles area and the Provence of the Popes. Although it has every appearance of being no more than a prosperous farming community, this small town is inextricably linked to the unavoidable 'tourist route' through Provence. The reason for this 'cultural dimension' is strictly geographical and can be experienced by a stop at the superb mausoleum erected by three young Romans in memory of their parents. In St. Remy, Philosopher, Nostradamus, was born in a house on Rue Hoche, only later moving to Salon de Provence to compile influential prophecies. Three centuries later, a tormented Vincent Van Gogh sought refuge in St. Remy where he painted some of his best known works. Enjoy a typical Provencal lunch in Saint Remy de Provence.
You will then proceed to Arles where the rest of the afternoon will be devoted to visiting this city. Arles is known as the Rome of ancient Gaule and caters to the insatiable curiosity of its visitors all that it has retained from its Gallo-Roman past and all that has resulted from the development of the Romanesque form of architecture which dominated from the 12th century onward. The cloister in St. Trophime Cathedral is an example of the Romanesque style.
Jim: We are trying to finalize our plans for our first trip to France this June. Your description appeals to us since we are more interested in immersing ourselves in the culture of France, keeping touristy things to a minimum. We are trying to find an apartment in a neighborhood, and would rather eat at a small cozy bistro than a fancy highly rated restaurant.
I don't know if you could help us, but here is what we are thinking. It would be nice to have someone meet us at the airport, then give a getting orientated to Paris type of tour. It would be great to get advice on eating places, markets, etc. Then we would probably do a week in Paris on our own. Then, we would like to have a driver/guide for 2 or 3 days to St Michel and Normandy.
So I am not sure if any of this is up your alley, but we would appreciate any help you could give us.
Tim: Hi Guide, I am travelling to London as part of a working holiday to attend the International Casino Conference in London 21-25th January 2008. We were hoping to see France for a day, maybe the 23rd or 24th and were looking to get away from the big tour groups and find a "more local" guide and trip. Then I found you on the internet and looked just what we were after. Can you plase give us a quote for me and 2-3 work colleagues for a tour around France?
I dont know what setup you have, but we would hire the car is needed, and pay for your meals etc.
Looking forward to your reply, many thanks and happy new year
Ellis: We dock in Sanary Sur Mer May 13 and are interested in a private day
tour to Aix Provence (were there years ago)...2 people. What is the cost and will you pick up at the port?
Also we dock in Marseilles port May 14 and would like a private day
tour of Marseilles and Cassis (2 people)...Please send the cost for this too.
No more than 8 hours each day and perhaps shorter if all can be covered.
