Argentina
Festival de Tango (Tango Festival)

The Tango World Championship and Tango Festival take place simultaneously in August and are hugely popular around the globe. Bunol

In honor of Buñol’s patron saints, Luis Bertrand and the Virgin Mary, the ‘World’s Biggest Food Fight’ takes place in Spain during Buñol’s week of festivities including music, parades, dancing, and fireworks. For an entire Wednesday, hundreds of tons of over-ripe tomatoes are thrown in the streets.

Lollapalooza

Started in 1991 by Perry Farrell, lead singer for Jane’s Addiction, Lollapalooza is now a premier festival in Chicago’s Grant Park. With celebrated and upcoming alternative, punk, and rock bands from all over, this grand festival is larger than life and an annual destination for many music lovers worldwide.

Burning Man
August 26 – September 2, 2013
Black Rock Desert, NV

A themed annual art event that has become famous worldwide. Rules are thrown into the wind in favor of friendship and artistic displays of emotion through creations, gifts, and large-scale art installations. More than 50,000 people are normally in attendance each year, and the party can often carry on long past the set date.
