My husband and I are travelling to Portugal for the first time in September and have a few nights in Lisbon before staying at the beautiful Areias do Seixo (A-Dos-Cunhados).
We are hesitant about hiring a car and it does not appear that we can travel by train to Areias do Seixo. Could you please provide a cost estimate for driving from Lisbon to Areias do Seixo if this is a service that you offer?
I am finally answering your request.
My fee for the transfer to Areias do Seixo form Lisbon is 190 Euros.
I would be most pleased to assist you.
Accept my best regards
Thank you for your email and this is a service that I would like to do. I just have to check the distance in order to give you a rate for the transfer.

All those languages are unknown to me but I once worked with a bulgarian driver that translated the information I gave to the clients.
I will call this gentleman to check if he`s available.
I will get in touch with you tomorrow.
In which localities can I admire the most splendid landscapes? I love wines, is it possible to experience how wine is made and to taste different local wines? What type of transport system is there from Portugal to Madeira Islands to be able to explore their beauty?
Good afternoon Olivia,
Both the Douro valley (where Port wine is made) and the Alentejo (farmland and wine region as well boast two of the most splendid landscapes in continental Portugal. There are over 1500 wine makers along the Douro valley and many are tourism oriented. In some it is even possible to crush the grapes with the locals.
Alentejo (southern plains between the Tagus river and the Algarve) has recently been advertised by NY Times as an unveiled Tuscany, like Tuscany used to be before becoming touristy. Medieval fortresses, cattle, poppies and great gastronomy are the highlights of this region.
The flight from Lisbon to Funchal (Madeira's capital) takes 1 hour and you have two companies operating from Lisbon: TAP and SATA, both Portuguese. Apart from these, there are many charter flights from other European gateways like London and Frankfurt but these are usually sold as part of a package.
I hope to have answered your questions!
Portugal is a small country but with a very diversified landscape. Just 30 minutes driving west from Lisbon there is the natural protected area of Sintra/Cascais where you can admire a lush vegetation, nature and history expressed in the manors and palaces. Then, driving south of Lisbon, the natural park of Arrábida that still preserves the original mediterranean vegetation. Further south, in Alentejo, a vast ondulating plain, filled with cork trees and its wildlife, where also some of the most reputed winesgrapes grows.
In the north, east from Porto, you find the slopes of Douro valley, terraces cultivated by men, with unique features that allow Port wine to develop. But there is more: Bussaco mountain, Serra da Estrela (highest mountain), the green Minho region. Portugal owns 800 kilometers of coastal land, alternating sandy bays with high cliffs.
Regarding wine tasting I highlight: Alentejo and Douro areas. There is a wide offer of wine estates where you can stay overnight, experience how wine is made or tasting it. TAP is the national flight company that offers daily flights to Funchal,in Madeira. I hope to have been usefull.
