I am a Dutch national, living in Hong Kong since 2002. Since then I have been exploring the territory, uncovering all those hidden gems and learning about their importance within Hong Kong's history and natural settings.

Besides the urban areas, I know the countryside very well, and am specialised in countryside hiking tours. The countryside of Hong Kong is remarkably rugged and undisturbed, and in between the beautiful natural settings, authentic villages can be discovered, where time stood still for the past century.

The geological setting of Hong Kong is remarkably rich and varied as well. Most of the territory is volcanic, formed around 160 million years ago, however outcrops as old as 400 million years or as young as 1. 5 million years can be observed as well.

Having arrived as an outsider myself, I know very well what the most interesting sights of Hong Kong are, both for first-time visitors as for returning visitors. I can take you for a short shore excursion or stopover tour in the urban area, or for long hikes in the countryside. You decide.

Hok Tau Reservoir and Sha Lo Tung village, Islands Hopping tour (12 hours), Lai Chi Chong Geopark Site, Escape to Lantau and Cheung Chau, Sai Kung geopark and beach tour, Shuen Wan Country Park, Tai Mo Shan and Ng Tung Chai waterfalls, The badlands of the Castle Peak Range, Wetlands: Nam Shang Wai and Wetland Park, Islands Hopping tour (8 hours), Islands Hopping tour (6 hours)
