  This tour is an introduction to the history and the development of Reykjavik "Smokey Bay", Europe's most northern capital, with a population of about 120,000.
  This combines both driving around the city and walking in its downtown.
  8:55 am: Pick up from accommodations in Reykjavik

  We start with driving around the city to discover some of its landmarks and important sites such as the University area, the old harbor.
  We stop at: - Hofdi house where the historical Reykjavik summit between Ronald Reagan and Mikhail Gorbachev took place in 1986.
  - Hallgrimskirkja, the largest church in the whole country
  - Perlan, a dome of glass and steel built on large water tanks that supply the capital with hot water. From there, we can have a panoramic view over the whole city and the surrounding areas.
  Walk to explore the old town centre where the Icelandic parliament Althingi (Parliament) the town hall, Tjornin (the pond), and the government house are located As an option after the walk, we can join the locals in a coffee shop and enjoy a drink or lunch.
