Information about Pusan

Pusan is a terrific city.   Pusan or Busan, officially Busan Metropolitan City is South Korea's second largest metropolis and has a cooler version of a humid subtropical climate.     Haedong Yonggung temple is one of three sacred places related to the Goddess Buddha.    Temples, religious, historical sites, museums, and festivals are plentiful.

Chungnyeolsa is a Confucian shrine for soldiers who died during the 16th century battle against the Japanese at Dongnae Fortress.    Pusan has Korea's largest beach and longest river, and is home to the world's largest department store, the Shinsegae Centum City.    Pusan offers a selection of antique and souvenir shops, fine restaurants, attractions, and accommodations.    Parks, beaches, and resorts are found in this city as well.    Geumjeongsan is a well-known hiking spot for those who are interested.    Yongdusan Park houses the Busan Tower, Yongdusan Art Gallery, and the Busan Aquarium. The park has roughly seventy different species of trees and holds different cultural events throughout the year.    Dongnae Oncheon is a natural spa area and provides baths, hotels, restaurants, clubs and shopping for its visitors.   Pusan entices and draws in tourists from all over the country due to its six beaches.

Haeundae Beach has spectacular hotels and carnival boardwalk.  Gwangalli Beach features cafes, bars, restaurants, and the Grand Gwangan Bridge.   Taejongdae is a natural park with glorious cliffs facing the sea on the island of Yeongdo.    Busan Aquarium, set in Haeundae Beach, is the most expansive aquarium in South Korea.   Pusan is perfect for a superb and memorable vacation.

Frank Yi Pusan, Korea South

Our group were fortunate to have Frank Yi as our guide during our trip to Busan/Jinhae last week. We had so much fun and the cherry blossoms were in full bloom, especially in Jinhae. Frank was very patient and gave us the best service, never complaining, and is forever attentive to our changing itinerary while also giving us good advise as to where we should go or eat. We have no qualms about engaging him again for our next trip to Korea. Thank you Frank, without you we may not have experienced the best of Busan and Jinhae.
