1. HAE DONG YONG GUNG SA (SEASIDE TEMPLE)
Haedong Yonggungsa Temple is situated on the coast of the north-eastern portion of Busan. This superb find of a tourist spot and temple offers visitors the rare find of a temple along the shore line. Most temples in Korea are located in the mountains. Haedong Yonggungsa Temple was first built in 1376 by the great Buddhist teacher known as Naong during the Goryeo Dynasty. Haesu Gwaneum Daebul (Seawater Great Goddess Buddha), Daeungjeon Main Sanctuary, Yongwangdang Shrine, Gulbeop Buddhist Sanctum (enclosed in a cave), and a three-story pagoda with four lions can all be seen looking out over the ocean.
2. APEC MUSEUM " NURI MARU" (DONG BAEK ISLAND)
The name Nurimaru APEC House is created by combining the Korean words nuri (“world”) and maru (“summit”), and “APEC House,” which refers to an APEC conference hall. Collectively, it means “a house where the world summits gather together for an APEC meeting.” Located on Dongbaekseom Island, which is noted for its beautiful, natural landscape accented by dense camellia and pine trees, Nurimaru APEC House has been used as a memorial hall and a prestigious international conference hall since the APEC summit meeting. Nurimaru, a 3-story building, is a modernistic expression of “jeongja,” a pavilion in traditional Korean architectural style. Its roof shape symbolizes the ridge line of Dongbaekseom Island. Its interior design is a visual display of Korea’s creative traditional culture.
3. YONG DU SAN PARK (LANDMARK CITY TOWER)
Yongdusan Park, one of the most popular mountains in Busan .Yongdusan in downtown Busan, is one of the 3 well-known mountains in Busan. As well as Busan Tower is a symbol of Busan that stands proudly 69m above sea level at a height of 120m.The top of the tower is modeled after the baldaquin of Dabotap Pagoda in Bulguksa Temple, Gyeongju. Beloved by Busan citizens and tourists alike, the tower offers a stunning night view and plenty to see, such as the Statue of the Great Admiral Yi Sun-shin, the Bell of the Citizens, a flower clock, the Museum of Musical Instruments.
4. JA GAL CHI MARKET ( LIVE & FRESH FISHES )
The Jagalchi Market is Korea's largest seafood market. After the Korean War the market solidified itself as a fish market. Most of the people who sell fish are women, so the women who sell here are called 'Jagalchi Ajumma,' 'ajumma' meaning middle-aged or married women. This market represents Busan and is famous throughout the country. If you visit you can eat fresh raw fish right at the market. Even these days you can see women selling mackerel, sea squirts (ascidians) and whale meat on wooden boxes along the road. Every year in October the Jagalchi Cultural Tourism Festival is held, and it is easy to visit because of the convenient transportation provided by the subway. The Jagalchi Market is where you can see the life style of the indigenous Busan natives.
5. GUWNG BOK RO ( BIFF & GUK JE MARKET )
Over 100 shops offer a wide array of items from clothing to jewelry, cameras, electronics, folk crafts, and luxury items. New shops often hold opening events, and some shops offers items at 20-30% off ticket prices; most shops are open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Since being remodeled in 2007, the street has hosted various cultural events such as the Gwangbok-dong Street Cultural Festival and the Christmas Tree Cultural Festival.
