It shelters a big wealth in endemic biodiversity but in danger. We can see the rare species there and seriously threatened lemurs. The park is also the genetic reservoir of some rare and endemic plant species. Many scientist and students from around the globe come here for studies. It is browsed by many rivers that are the affluents of the Namorona stream. Picnic Lunch.

5 day: Ranomafana > Vallée de Tsaranoro We leave the green part of the Island to go to a drier place, the South. We pass by Fianarantsoa, the capital of the Betsileo tribe & Ambalavao famous for the rice plantation and wine production. On the way we visit some little interesting places such as the “sisal” a plant like agave with which many kinds of artcarfats can be produced (bags, hats, ropes…) the workshop of Antemoro Paper (a well decorated paper, inherited by Arabes) then the last but not the least the Private park of Anja where you’ll discover the Catta Lemur probably the most famous lemur in the world for it was among the main character of the moovie “MADAGASCAR” known as the “king Julian”. The landascapes are changing, that remind us the safari in Kenya and the Lions, one point is that this animal doesn’t exist here. However our “Masay” will be seen there. The Bara tribe reputed for their barbarian manners predominate that part. Your guide will tell you why they are actually “barbarian!” but do not worry they are not dangerous. Transfer in hotel.
