Monika - Private Guide in Warsaw
Languages: polish, english
Hello! My name is Monika Oleśko and I am from Poland.
I am a city guide of Warsaw since middle 2012 and that has been a good and varied time. Also, I have been studying in the same time and I am near to finish my master degree in Painting on Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw.
I am a passionate of art and history.
In order to become a guide I kept on contacting with knowledgeable people and kept on reading. I became invloved in the history of this city and as you know this history is very troubled. I started to empathize with the city and its people. The city is a patchwork more than any other polish city and I recognized a logic in this pattern and in result the feeling for this place stays with me.
I guide people since last 2,5 year. They were all kinds of people from almost all the continents. I learned that I like to be a guide for teenagers too, which I think is a need. Teenagers have different interests than their parents and it is a pity when a young person is bored on a travel! So I have "invented" a special kind of tour for teenagers or a little younger ones. It's looking into younger layers of the city that they can more relate to, looking into places where the contemporary culture blooms now, or looking at the history that is living like an authentic element from the past.
If you are not a teenager that's good too! I invite you to tailor your own tour with me and afterwards become a deep fan of the city.
Let's fill your higher expectections for a tour and for a visit in this city :)
See you on the road!
