Dear prospective visitors to Russia!
Me, Andrey Vereshchagin as an English speaking guide in St.Petersburg and Moscow would be glad to offer my services. After graduation from the institute I had worked as a bridge design engineer till 1993 - then turning to tourism. Starting from 1995 I have turned to guiding in St.Petersburg upgrading my English.

Since 1997 I have regularly guided in Moscow (usually 2-4 orders a year).  The biggest group of mine was for participants of rally London - St.Petersburg in June 2007 organised by JNF UK - they were above 60, so I had to invite one more guide.

Among other special events - guiding a group of relations coming on a sea cruise to commemorate 80th anniversary of one of them (the youngest being below 1), all in all more than 30 persons - for whom I have arranged visa-free disembarkation; last minute tickets' arrangement at the Mariinsky in May 2002 - with my group of 18 siitting just above Putin and Bush Jr; private chamber concerts in 2006 - at the Polovtsev mansion and at an apartment of one Orthodox family; live concert at Bulat Okudjava museum near Moscow for my group from a river cruise in 2006; helping 4 people to get into Russia with a wrong date in their visas in 1999 (bringing Foreign Affairs ministry representative - almost taking him out of the bed due to late time); oiling a palm of a police officer in Red square...

My relatively frequent journeys to Europe (more than 10 times to the UK, except London - to Edinburgh, York, Oxford etc; Italy - Rome, Venice, Florence, Assisi; Spain - Barcelona; Sweden - Stockholm) and personal experience of being a passeger at Mediterranean cruises give me a possibility to compare and increase my background in history, art and casual trifles.

Discount for the period from October 15 till April 15:

- tour prices for any order coming from a couple (to come in the mentioned period in St.Petersburg) will be calculated with my rate being $15 an hour (instead of usual $20) - 25% discount!

 - for any couple ordering a city tour of 4 hours+ I offer one free ticket to any one of the most visited cathedrals (Ss Peter $ Paul, St.Isaac's, Spilt Blood)

Andrey was our guide for 2 days in St Petersburg in July. We corresponded easily by email to arrange our 2 day tour, with no problems.
Andrey took us for a tour around St Petersburg city highlights on the first day visiting various sights including churches, palaces, & museums. We finished our tour at The Hermitage, with 3 hours of very detailed and informative commentary by Andrey, he knows his art!
On our 2nd day our driver Cyril & Andrey took us out to see Peterhof Palace & gardens & Catherine’s Palace, both of which were amazing.
The benefits of booking our tours through Andrey was that he was able to pre purchase the entry tickets to all the popular sights, meaning we could skip the queues.
Andrey has great knowledge and being a native of St Petersburg can give you an insight to life back to the Soviet era.
My advice is to make contact soon, as Andrey is very popular for good reason!
Thanks Andrey for making our trip to St Petersburg one we will remember for some time.
