Culture and History tour in Tunis

Day 1: Tunis - Bardo museum - Carthage- Sidi Bousaid
First,visit the Bardo Museum. Then, you will be taken to Carthage to admire the ruins of this once magnificent city.We will visit the Antoninus baths,the roman villas and the cisterns of Malaga . Stroll in the medina of Tunis with its colorful and lively streets.Then you will proceed to the blue and white town of Sidi Bou Said, located near Carthage with a panoramic view of the bay of Carthage.
Spend the night in Tunis.
Day 2: Tunis - Dougga- kairouan
Today you will see more ancient attractions. In the morning you will be driven to Dougga – the magnificent Roman city that wasn’t deteriorated as heavily as most other Roman cities were. Enjoy the most spectacular monuments of the city.
Lunch time and drive to Kairouan.
Spend the night in Kairouan.
Day 4: Kairouan - Tozeur
Visit the wonderful old mosque of Kairouan ,the cisterns and the local saint .
Lunch time before proceeding to Tozeur.
Spend the night in Tozeur.
Day 5: Tozeur - mountain oasis Chebika - downtown Tozeur - Douz
Visit Ñhebika and its waterfall.
Walk through the old town of Tozeur. continue to Douz, the gate to the Sahara in the city of Douz.
Optional activities: visit Star wars installation ONG JEMAL and camel ride in Douz.
Spend the night in Douz.
Day 6: Douz-Matmata - Sfax
Visit a native Berber troglodyte house in Matmata.Continue to Sfax for a walk through the old town.
Spend the night in Sfax.
Day 7: Sfax- El Jem -Hammamet - Tunis
Drive to el Jem to visit the roman amphitheater
Drive to Hammamet to visit the medina .
Drive to Tunis.Free Time in Tunis.
