Information about Tunis
Airport - Tunis-Carthage Airport (TUN), 8 km away from the center, is small and in reasonable shape with all standard facilities.Shopping - The souq in the medina makes for a fascinating stroll. The Tunis medina's main routes are labeled "touristique", but even a few steps off the beaten track it's a real, working market. Compared to Morocco or even Sousse you will not be hassled here. Bab El Bahr is a good starting point for the Souk. The goldsmiths are close to Bab Bnet. Haggle if you wish to buy anything.

Latest Tourist Opinion about Travel to Tunisia:

We were in Tunis visiting our daughter who works there and we used Moez for 4 day trips. He is a knowledgeable guide, his English is impeccable and he has a great sense of humor. Our day trips included a day long tour of Tunis, a tour of Bulla Regia and Dougga, a tour of Kairouan and El Jem and a Cap Bon tour (which included a winery). Our children, all in their twenties, joined us and Moez was able to relate to them as well as to my husband and I. Moez has a deep understanding of history - everything from the Berbers, to the Romans, to the Muslims, to WWII to the present day. Every day was ...
