In the center of the seaside district on Turkey’s Aegean coast is Kusadasi. The peninsula of Guvercin Ada sticks out into the sea at one end with the mountain of Pilay Dagi behind it. Old houses converted to cafes and bars line the seafront. Built up on the hills are holiday flats and big hotels. Welcome to Kusadsi, the place where the mountains meet the beaches and the turquoise water fills the sandy beaches.
Some travelers start their journey on Ladies Beach and never leave! It’s called Ladies Beach because years ago it was segregated and used for females only. Within walking distance from the city center you can enjoy clean, shallow, pristine waters complete with lifeguards. On Ladies Beach you will find Cuba Beach Club. By day you can soak up the sun on giant cushions and browse in souvenir shops and in the evening you can watch the sun set, drink and dance the night away.
You will find a wide variety of food in Kusadasi. Located amid historic buildings and narrow streets you will find the Saray Restaurant. Offering up huge helpings of Turkish hospitality, this restaurant has everything from racks of lamb to lobster. They also offer foods from around the world complete with live music and cabaret dancing on Friday nights.
