Jim: We will be in Nairobi from Friday, August 27 until Sunday, August 29, 2010. We will be returning from extensive safaris in Tanzania and Kenya with Tauck Tours.
We would like to enjoy the exciting city and surroundings in a safe manner. We do love the wildlife, but will have been fully immersed in it for over two weeks at that point and will have already visited the Giraffe park and Blixen museum.
We have many questions, including where to stay. We will be starting out on Friday with a "day room" at the Serena Hotel because the majority of our tour travellers will be leaving that night for Amsterdam.
We would be interested in a local guide for part of our stay.
Rosemary: There will be 4 of us in Kenya for a conference. We arrive on Sat. evening and are available for touring until Tues afternoon. I am hoping to do some sort of safari and am not sure the best way of seeing what we can before the conference begins. I would like to do a photo safari possibly at Nairobi National Park. I have made an inquery to the Karen Blixen Cottages for arrangements. Could you make some recomendations to do half or full day tours from there for Sunday and Monday and the pricing of those.
Thank you for your assistance.
