Dale: Dear Sir,
In honor of my husband's 70th birthday in March 2011, our family of four (husband, son, daughter, and I) would like to make a 10 - 12 day trip to Syria & Jordan (in Jordan to see Petra) to see the ancient ruins and art in your beautiful country. We would like a private tour (not with a group) that would include a car and driver as well as a guide. We would need you to plan an itinerary, procure the car and driver, arrange all accommodations in good hotels etc. My husband is an architect and my son & daughter -- both adults-- and I are knowledgeable about ancient history and art. We are active people and would like to see as much as possible.
Would you be interested in preparing an itinerary and leading our tour, and if so, can you tell me approximately how much it would cost?
My girlfriend and I are travelling to Syria for a couple of weeks next April (2009) and was looking for someone to take us around the desert area, from Palmyra and then to the border crossing at Nusaybin/Qamishle.
(we want to go to this border in particular, because we are going to Mardin in Turkey, which is very close to that border).
Our biggest interest is to stay with some Bedouin camp - is this possible?
We will manage Damascus on our own, and can go to Palmyra also, but we didnt want to drive or negotiate public transport, and we dont like group tours.
Also, I cant find any tours that go specifically for a few days to the desert area only.
Is any of this possible, and how much would it cost please, or do you know of someone that would help us?
