Susia: We will have one day on Feb 19th, 2009. I will be at a hotel, (having flown in the day before) andwill be meeting my Father, who will arrive by cruise ship-Darling Harbour. I have below a tour that I found. We would interested in a city tour , seeing the opera house and Bondi beach., and of course any suggestions.
If you are available, if you could advise what we could do in the time we have (see below ) and the cost. Thank you.
"Visit with the Rocks to get an insight into the city’s history as you visit the site of the first European settlement and explore its colonial buildings.
Travel over Sydney Harbour Bridge, one of the world’s largest steel arch bridge constructions. From here it’s on to the world famous Opera House. Constructed over 13 years, the Sydney Opera House is an iconic image of Australia. From here stops will be made at Darling Harbour, Kings Cross and Chinatown.
If you select the option, you will go on a luncheon cruise on Sydney Harbour which will be delightful. The cruise will start at approximately 12 noon. If you haven't selected the luncheon cruise option, there will be some free time for lunch.
After the cruise/free time for lunch, visit the famous beaches - Bondi, Manly and other northern beaches.
We would probably just want to go and see Bondi Beach (would not need to really spend any amount of time there.)
Also the lunch cruise sounds very nice. Could you tell me how long it is.
I will be at a hotel (do not have one yet) and my Father will be arriving at the peir by curise ship.
Would it be best for him to meet me at the hotel and then to be picked up at the hotel?
Please advise and then at the end of the tour we could get my luggage from the hotel and then be taken to the ship.
Ship arrives February 19, 2009 8AM and leaves 9PM
Could we maybe start 9-10 AM?

Pam: I am travelling with a group of family and friends (5 persons total - all ladies) and we will be arriving at Intercontinental Sydney for a pre-cruise stay on January 4. The next day we will have a free day prior to sailing since the Diamond Princess departs in the evening. I am interested in a private tour guide who can show us the Sydney area on January 5, and would appreciate it if you could provide any pertinent information (availability, cost, suggested itineraries etc.).
I previously visited Sydney in 2002 and utilized an excellent private tour guide, but they are unable to accommodate more than 4 passengers. I think my friends would enjoy a trip to Bondi Beach and Featherdale Wildlife Park, both of which I visited previously and greatly enjoyed. On the same day I was also able to see the Blue Mountains area and have a pleasant lunch in Leura, and this may be an option my friends would enjoy.
I look forward to hearing from you soon.
