Alan: We will be visiting your city in mid April aboard a Viking Cruise ship. The ship arrives in Budapest on April 12. Here is the itinerary provided by the ship:
This is what the Viking Cruises will provide: Arrive in Budapest, Hungary’s vibrant capital divided by the Danube River. Your tour begins with a motor coach ride through the Pest side of the city. Journey along famous Andrássy Avenue and see numerous 19th- and 20th-century mansions and the National Opera House. Other noted sites are the renowned Parliament Building and Chain Bridge. You stop in Heroes’ Square to learn more about Hungarian culture and history. Next, cross the Danube to the Buda side for a tour of the Castle District. Walk up the hill to see Fishermen’s Bastion and Matthias Church and catch brilliant views of the city below. Return to your ship for lunch and the rest of the day is yours to explore both sides of the city, traditional “Buda” and modern “Pest.”.
We need your help on the 13th and 14th. We leave the ship on the 13th, going to the Marriott Hotel and then leave for the airport the morning of April 14.
I would like to know what you recommend in sightseeing all day on the 13th with the Jewish quarters being one of the areas we would like to see. How much would a private tour cost for two people.
I would also like for you to pick us up at the ship and then on the 14th takes us to the airport. What type of car do you offer for tours?

Mari: We are currently in the Danube going toward Vienna and will be in Budapest on the 14th of this month. We have realized we need a private guide to really see Budapest the way we want to see it.
We will be having a city Tour given by our cruise(included) and it reads as follows...your guided city tour includes Buda and Pest spread over both banks of the River. Your tour algo features the distinctive Fisherman's Bastion, the marvelous Royal Palace, St. Sthepen's Basilica and much more. This is on Sunday. We will be living the ship on Monday morning to our hotel and will be leaving on the 17th, mid-day, so we have the afternoon of the 15th and all 16th to see whatever we can and should in the time we have. John: I am inquiring about a trip from Budapest to Romania, some time between July 30 and August 4.
I will be celebrating my 80th birthday (a young 80 I might add). My parents were both born in a village formerly Terebes, Hungary, now Turulung, Romania, approximately 30 miles from Satu Mare.
It is our desire to visit this village during a week's stay in Budapest. We are interested in a guide and or driver. At this time we are unsure of how many travelers would be joining us, as some of our family are still contemplating the journey. At this time, there are three of us, but we could be as many as 10 (which would, of course, require a van). We would consider a two day trip, with an overnight in Satu Mare. It should only take about 1/2 day to visit in the village.
Can you offer us advice, pricing, or referral and your own experiences in traveling to this part of Romania.
