This tour is the perfect solution for anyone who’s having a rather short stay in Cairo but wants to see all the major attractions in the capital area. You will be accompanied by a professional Egypt private guide and driven to all of the locations by an air-conditioned private van. Besides visiting the main sites, you’ll have a lunch at a local restaurant in between the drives, and all of the costs will be taken care of (excluding tips and additional requests).

First stop is the Giza Necropolis and its famous pyramids. We’ll wander around the three Great Pyramids and the Sphinx, and learn about the history and different theories regarding this place.

Next stop is the Saqqara complex, which is considered to be older than that of Giza. Here we’ll see the famous Stepped Pyramid, which is an important depiction of the gradual transition to the true pyramids that made Ancient Egypt structures so prominent.

Our next destination is the Dashnur complex, located in several dozen miles south from the capital. It houses several pyramids, including the Bent, Red and Black Pyramids, built using different techniques and materials. Here you will see how the building and engineering technologies evolved over time.

Then we’ll drive to Memphis, where you can see many ruins and well-preserved statues, temples and other structures left from the thousands of years, during which this ancient city was the capital of the country.

The Museum of Egyptian Antiquities in Cairo (Egyptian Museum) will be our next stop, where you will see even more artifacts from the past, including the famous jewelry collections and burial masks of pharaohs.

Our next destination touches upon the more modern period of history, as we visit the Cairo Citadel and Mosque of Muhammad Ali, which are great examples of Arabic and Ottoman cultures respectively.

We’ll also stop by the oldest and most famous Coptic churches, synagogues and mosques around the city during this tour, to explore the multicultural aspect of the Egyptian capital.
