The archaeological museum of Naples preserves most of the extraordinary masterworks of art discovered in Pompeii, Herculaneum, Stabiae, Oplontis, raleted villas, and also the most beautiful statues collected in Rome during the 16th century by the cardinals of the family Farnese. We can state today that the National Archaeological Museum of Naples displays the world most beautiful roman art collection. Closed on Tuesday.

We will visit first the Gallery containing the collection Farnese where are preserved the famous statues of Hercules at rest, the two Tyrannicide and the majestic group called Toro Farnese, and the galleries displaying statues of Gods and the busts of the Emperors. Then we will go the Pompeian collection where are shown all the most beautiful frescos, mosaics such as the one of “Alexander the Great”, and lot of silver and golden objects, masterworks made by ancient goldsmiths, and much more.

Entrance tickets (8 euros) are not included I can arrange transportation by Merceds Limousine, Minivan or Minibus from the meeting place to destination. Pick up and drop off at your accommodation.
