Trekking tour from Empakai Ngorongoro to Lake Natron via Oldonyo Lengai is an exclusive off-the-beaten-path expedition. Ngorongoro highlands, rift valley walking safaris, and Lake Natron travel schedule

Day 1: Early morning (at 07.00 am or 06.00 am) depart from Arusha and drive to Empakai. Empakai Crater trek. Overnight Empakai Camp (fb)

Most guests are met at Empakai Crater and begin the program trekking down from Empakai towards the rift valley. The walking is through remote Maasai villages perched on the edge of the rift valley.

--This day, you have the option to do a Crater tour, or a wildlife tour (at an extra cost of 295 USD $ for both) and then ascend to the crater at 1 pm and begin trekking to Empakai crater.

Day 2: Trek to the Camp via Naiobi Maasai Village in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Overnight Camp (fb) Trek 16km

Day 3: Trek to Lake Natron with a pickup at the bottom of the rift valley. Overnight, the Maasai Giraffe Lodge (fb) Trek 12km, Drives 14km

Day 4: We visit Lake Natron shores for flamingo birds, visit Ngaresero waterfall, and after lunch, later afternoon, drive back to Arusha.
