Sherstin: I am leading a study abroad group of 20 undergraduate business students from Brigham Young University in the United States to Asia in May 2011. We will be visiting Japan, China, South Korea and Mongolia. After reading about the culture of Mongolia. We would like to get the students outside of the city and more into the nomadic country. We will be in Mongoliga 21-23 May. The study abroad is designed to expose students to different business.
I'm curious if you could arrange something for us for 2 days. Picking up at the airport on Saturday, 21 of May and returning to the city on the evening of 23 of May. Something like this:
• Leave Ulaanbaatar countryside
• On the way, visit to culture sites
• On the way, have a business visit about your company to gain a better understanding of what you do.
• Visit to nomadic family?? Or a family owned business???
• Lunch with locals
• Visit to surrounding are
• Riding horses
• Mongolian real barbecue with nomads
• Overnight in yerts??
• Morning hiking
• Riding horses, photography
• Business visit with horse breeders?? Farmers? Local entreprenuers?
• Local sites
• Traditional dinner
• Overnight in yerts?
• Morning hiking
• Return to Ulaanbaatar
Could you do something like that? If so how much would it be?
I look forward to hearing from you.
all the best,
MOLLIERE: Dear sir,
I found you adress on internet because many people say that you're a really nice guide. I just want to know if you can organize for me
a horse trip in Khovsgol area. I will be in Moron the 11 July 2010, and I want to start my trip the 13 July. If possible, I would like to go to Tsaagan-nuur and start the trip from Tsaagan-nuur.
So, I ask to you if you can find for me a guide (for horses) and a translator (like a student : we speak french, english), or an english speaking guide.
We have all our equipments, tent, sleeping bag etc., we just need horses and guide (and translator^^). If possible, the trip will during 13 days, because I need to be back in Oulan-Bator the 28 July. It could be good to go to meet Tsaatans, but only if you think that we will not bother them!
I am in contact with the Itgel Foundation for volunteering during the trip, that's why I have already many informations about the country (they can provide me the letter for border permit)
Many many thanks,
Francesca: my boyfriend and I would like to organize a private tour around Mongolia this summer in August. We would like to visit the main sightseeings (Gobi desert, Yol Valley, Terkhiin Tsagaan, monasteries)as well as (if possible) some more remote regions, which you can also suggest us.
We still have to book our flight from Rome to Ulan Bator, anyway we're planning to stay there around three weeks.
We do not ride horses/camels and we would like to limit as much as possible the overnight stay in tents.During the stay we would like to see as many different places as possible.
We would like to know if you would be available for this period and, if so, the price which you request (in dollars or euro).
If not, we would be grateful if you could address us to other guides.
Please consider that we mainly need a driver for the time being and that we understand English, German, Russian as well as French.
We hope to hearing from you soon.
