Curt: I am planning a visit to the Czech Republic for about two weeks in October. I have read a few reviews on the internet from people who have toured with you. They seem very happy with your services.
I would like to spend a about a week in Prague and about a week in the countryside. I will be travelling by myself. I would prefer to rent an apartment in Prague. I am considering renting a car to drive through the country and possibly into Slovakia or other neighboring countries.
My father's family came to the US from Bohemia, although I do not know exactly where. My grandmother spoke Bohemian. I am afraid I only speak English and a very little German. I am looking forward to getting to know the Czech Republic. I am very intested in history and culture.
I am interested in assistance with the following services:
- tour of prague
- planning itinerary for drive through the country
- securing accommodations
Please let me know if you might be able to assist. If so, please let me know what information you need and an estimate of costs in each of the three areas.
Don: I am a franchisee for CruiseOne here in the Chicago area. I specialize in groups and my clients had been to the Baltics and the Mediterranean on the big cruise ships. They want a change of pace so they want to try aDanube river cruise in September of 2009.
They are interested in the river cruise from Budapest to Nuremberg. Viking cruises offers three additional days in Prague after disembarkation in Nuremberg and they are asking for $899.00 per person (Prague Hilton is the hotel accomodation. Can they have a better deal with a private guide from Prague like you. I am talking about a group of about 16-24 people. This will cover the land transport from Nuremberg and tour of Prague for the said three days. Transport from the hotel to the airport should be included too.
I don't have the details on what the $899.00 includes but give me your best shot. I might be with this group too and we are Filipino-American catholics and we are interested in a tour that includes the Infant Jesus of Prague. Thank you so much for your reply and info.
Pat: I am taking a Tauck riverboat trip from Prague starting late afternoon of September 6. I will be arriving in Prague on September 3 and would like to arrange 2 ½ days of tours on September 4, 5 and 6. Let me share with you what I will be doing with Tauck so that you can better suggest what we (I am traveling by myself) can do the other days to give me a good feel of Prague and the surrounding area.
We will be having a reception and dinner the night of September 6 at the Lobkowicz Palace. On the 7th, we are taken to the Hradcany Castle and St. Vitus, Strahov Monastery and a walking tour of Old Town (Astronomical Clock, Tyn Church, Charles Bridge and Wenceslas Square).
Some ideas that I have based on my reading - tour of the Jewish Quarter, Cesky Krumlov, Kutna Hora.........
I truly want your thoughts on what might make my stay the most memorable and perhaps off the normal tourist sites. Also and most importantly if you are available these days.
Look forward to hearing from you.
Howard: I am planning on visiting Prague next week and I ( we ) are available for a guided tour on Wednesday Dec 8. We land at 10 and will be staying at the Prague Hilton. We are interested in a guided tour that afternoon. We could be 4-8 people, not sure. I know it will be very cold and I am not sure how that will affect the tour. We are interested in the Jewish section and if time allows then old town or maybe something else you suggest. Please consider also when the sun goes down. So it might not be a ½ day tour but I am sure you can provide something to us.
Not even sure if you are available.
Please give me details of time, cost and what you recommend we see.
In addition, I would love to go to Terezin to see the camp. I would be available on Saturday, say 1:30. I understand it is about an hour away so I am not sure if that is even possible. That might include 3-4 people, not sure. Can you please provide me details on that time and cost as well.
