Tour: UNESCO town Dubrovnik + city panorama view + 2nd longest wall in the world-Ston

This tour comes in two forms. You can either take it as a short excursion in case your cruise ship is docked in Dubrovnik for at least 7 hours. Or you can take it as a full tour with numerous stops and more sightseeing while staying in any of the city’s hotels.

Known as the Adriatic Pearl, Dubrovnik is one of the most picturesque towns you will see along the entire European Mediterranean coast. Throughout the centuries this town was an important trade center due to its convenient location, and it can be seen in numerous buildings and sites preserved until these days. It’s more of a large outdoor museum, since most of its buildings are important landmarks protected by UNESCO.

The first part of our tour will take us to Ston, a beautiful medieval town, which belonged to the Dubrovnik Republic and now features a large number of historic landmarks from that time. Not to mention that it’s located on the Pelijesac peninsula, which is a very scenic place, surrounded by the cleanest waters of the Adriatic Sea. Ston is famous for its numerous fortifications, one of which – the wall connecting Ston with Bay of Mali Ston – is regarded as the second biggest wall in the world after the Great Chinese Wall. We’ll explore the most important and interesting places in the city before having a lunch break. Like most other Croatian towns located along the coastline, Ston has plenty of restaurants where you can enjoy all sorts of fresh seafood, including oysters that are produced at local farms.

We will enjoy a nice walk through the Stradun street, enjoying the old part of the city. That’s where we’ll find the old Franciscan Monastery, which houses one of the oldest pharmacies in Europe, and the oldest still operating, established in 1317. .We’ll also walk by the Rector’s Palace, Sponza Palace and St. Blaise church, which are the most interesting historic sites in Dubrovnik.
