Before starting our private tour in Gdansk we will pick you up from the hotel you’re staying at or from the pier. During the tour we will visit some of the most interesting and intriguing places of the city and you will be able to get acquainted with unique atmosphere and culture of Gdansk.

As your professional private guide in Poland I will be assisting you during the tour and share my experience and knowledge regarding the peculiarities and special features of Gdansk. Our starting point will be the old harbor of Hansa – a remarkable place famous for its Crane Gates. By the way Crane is the symbol of Gdansk, so the harbor of Hansa is quite a popular place. Green Gate is another famous tourist attraction in Gdansk. You will find it between the Motlawa River and the Long market. It is worth noting that this building was obviously inspired by the City Hall of Antwerp.

The Green Gate is quite old. It was build in the middle of the 16th century in the capacity of the official residence of the Polish monarchs. Its architecture is considered to be a masterpiece of the Dutch architect Regnier. After exploring the Green Gate we will proceed to the Long Market Square. There are many interesting places to discover on the Dluga Street: The Neptun’s Fountain, Town Hall, Artus Court, Kings Road, Torture House, Great Armoury, and of course the Mariachka Lane, which is famous for its lovely terraces and amber jewelry. It is worth noting that Gdansk has countless deposits of amber, and that’s why amber jewelry is quite cheap and of very high quality here.

After exploring all these places we will make a break and take refreshments in one of the numerous cafes. You will also have an opportunity to go shopping in Gdansk; we will spare several hours for that. Malbork Castle is not far from there, so we will definitely visit this remarkable place. It is considered to be the World Heritage Site as far as it is the biggest brick castle built at the beginning of the 15th century. It was built by the Teutonic knights and currently is a great model of medieval architecture.
