Antonio: I am an Italian tourist living in China (40 years old). Together with my wife we planned to be in Morocco for 4 nights (3 full days) and we would like to have our private guide who assists us, shows the beauty of some places and helps to organize logistics.
Our plans are the following:
1) August 10th in the night: arrive in Casablanca in the nighta ( around midnight flying in from Rome); on the same night of the arrival we would like to transfer to Marrakesh and sleep there overnight ( we therefore need a car with driver waiting for us at Casablanca airport and driving us to a nice hotel in Marrakesh, possibly with a sweaming pool)
2) August 11th: visit Marrakesh, get to know the most characteristic places, get to know some of the history and local culture and reserve some time for some shopping and local food.
3) August 12: tour in the most interesting areas around Marrakesh (by car+tracking); camel tour in the desert and night in a Berber village (1 night accommodation in a Berber tent would be perfect), lunch and dinner (local food would be great).
4) August 13th: return to Marrakesh to continue the tour in town and dinner and accommodation ( possibly same tplace han night between August 10th and 11th)
5) Return to Casablanca by car (+ driver), where we have our flight back to Rome around midday.
I would highly appreciate if you consider to be our guide during those days, inform about some details of your proposal and tell us about the overall cost (including your fee, transportation, accommodation and at least the lunch and dinner during the camel/ desert tour, and accommodation at the Berber village).
I am looking forward to receiving your offer
tiara: We are six people and we are looking at having a private guide of our 5 day stay in morocco between 10-15 december:
-to arrive in marrakech on 10 dec and be picked up from airport.
-to stay in Dar Zahia until 13 dec (We have talked to them and they are giving us the whole Riad for 300euros per night total)
-to just hang out and relax in Marrrakech for that time
-we would prefer you to show us more hidden places rather than touristy places, maybe some hidden gems on a daytrip at some point
-then drive us to fes on morning 13 dec
-to stay in Dar Hafsa in Fez (We have talked to them and they are giving us the whole Riad for 140 euros per night total)
-just generally show us around, show us cool places to eat and hang out and see
-we like a more relaxed pace and a lot of time to explore on our own but would like to have a guide to point us in right direction or drive when it's easier
-to be driven to fes airport on 15 dec afternoon (for 4 people) and 16 dec morning (for remaining 2 people)
We would like to know:
-If you can provide this sort of more relaxed service rather than taking us on a set tour as you described below.
-If you can negotiate with those riads I mentioned to get us a better deal altogether with your service.
-How much it would be per person for this sort of service. Again there will be 6 people.
Thank you very much for your help!
Sorry for delay, we have been trying to work out what everybody in the group prefers.
Bob: Hello: I am a very seasoned traveler who has traveled extensively and intensively in 75 countries through - out the world. I am an adventurer who enjoys learning about the culture and history of the various regions that I tour. I never travel in groups and usually travel with a private native guide. I develop a plan with the guide but typically make revisions as we go along. I normally do not make reservations until I can predict arrival dates. When I am not traveling I have for the past 8 years lived in Bangkok Thailand.
On May 10 I leave for New York City where I intend to stay for 3 months and then to Zambia, Tanzania and South Africa to visit wildlife parks where I do have reservations.
I have read a number of guidebooks and had extended discussions with a friend who did a motorcycle trip around Morocco. I am very interested in visiting. I will arrive in Casablanca at 12:10 on August 26 and can spend as much time as is interesting I am anticipating that would be about 30 days. I would like to end the guided part of the trip in Marrakech where I plan to "hang out" for several days to a week. From there I will return to Casablanca to connect with a flight to Frankfurt. Germany although I am considering side-trips to Tunesia and Mauritania.
If guiding me me is of interest to you please contact me with details of your rate structure and we can take it from there.
