Castle hill: old town with small streets and exciting little places to discover. Matthias Church (once used as a mosque!),was coronation church for the last Hungarian kings.
Fisherman's Bastion has the best panorama of the city! (and, best hot chocolate in the marzipan-museum...)
The mighty Royal palace has the most important Hungarian painting gallery and the Library of Hungary. Heros' Square is a spectacular monument in the City park: that's our cartoon strip of Hungarian history (like Garfield...).
The fake castle behind, with copies of famous, old Hungarian buildings is something not to miss! Andrassy Avenue with the Opera and the first metro line of the continent. Entance fees, refreshments and public transport are not included.
