I’m an archaeologist. I hold a BA in Preservation of Cultural Herigate, with a specific focus on classical archaeology, completed by a further Postgraduate qualification in Sicily and Magna Graecia Archeology.

My main research interest is on Magna Graecia and Sicily Archaeology, about which I published different scientific papers. I was also assistant to the Chair of Greek and Roman Archaeology at the BA Sciences of Tourism of the “Università degli Studi della Calabria”. I worked as an excavation supervisor in Abruzzo, Puglia, Calabria and Sicily and I currently collaborate with the Syracusan Board of Archaeological Heritage.

As expert connoisseur of Sicily, I love sharing my knowledge of Sicilian archaeology, art, architecture and "food and wine".

According to me a place must not to be visited, but felt and lived in all its multifaceted characteristics. This is the concept I have of the trip. We must not to be tourists, we have to be part of the society in which we stay, combining our customs with their way to live. I think this makes me a different tour guide, as well as the expertise acquired through my academic research and high-grade studies.

Alessandro is the best! Alessandro did an archaeological tour with two of my groups in Vendicari Nature Reserve last week and the week prior to that. His English is excellent, his knowledge of archaeology is vast and we learned so much from him! What I can say I loved best is his enthusiasm! He is very animated and engaging. He puts his heart and soul into his work and all who go on his tours will have a great experience. We did! Thank you, Alessandro. I hope to go on more guided tours with you in the future!
