Information about Ronda

Ronda is a small city in the Malaga province, on mountainous plateau at 730 meters above the sea. The unique natural landscape of the city played an important role in its history. Today, Ronda consists of two parts, the Old city and the New city, each of which lies on a rock plateau and are divided by Taho canyon that has a depth from 100 up to 300 meters. The separated parts are connected by a beautiful New bridge, which is considered to be the symbol of the city, there are also an Old bridge and an Arabic bridge.

Ronda is one of the most ancient cities of Spain and the first mention about it in historical documents dates back to the 6th century. The presence of different civilizations on its territory has been reflected in the architecture of the city. The most famous architectural landmarks of the city are the Arabic baths, Almocabar gates, the Mondragon palace and Saint Mary Cathedral.

Ronda is considered to be the motherland of the bullfight, here is located the biggest   arena for corrida in the world, its diameter is of 66 meters. Next to it is located an interesting Medieval Armory Museum, also there is a wine museum and a bandolero museum.

The breathtaking view from cafes and restaurants that float over the canyon will not let anyone indifferent.
