Tourists greatly enjoy attending the Istanbul Biennial that take place every two years.  It features Turkish visual art as well as the works international artists.   Istanbul has an impressive selection of shopping centers, traditional and also contemporary. The Grand Bazaar, in business since 1461, is one of the world's oldest and most expansive covered markets. Mahmutpasha Bazaar is an outdoor market that has been Istanbul's chief spice market since 1660.  In addition to usual Turkish cuisine such as kebab, Istanbul is also well-known for its remarkable seafood restaurants. 

For guests who enjoy spending vacation days in the sun, Istanbul has more than twenty beaches with crystal clear water to make their selections from.  Providing even more enjoyment of the outdoors is a vast amount of spectacular parks in order to see further beauty of nature. There are also interesting museums that guests are pleased to visit. The Istanbul Archaeology Museums consists of three museums.

We used Ali Yalniz' company for a two day tour of Istanbul in late July (2015). Because of schedule conflicts, Ali was not able to be our guide but his #1 man Umit stepped in and gave as a great tour. I had preplanned most of the itinerary with Ali so all went smoothly. I opted to go to the Suleymaniye Mosque instead of the Blue Mosque because of possible crowds and i am glad we did. We had the Suleymaniye virtually to ourselves.
