Hannah Williams about guide from Cairo

We booked with Marwa for a day trip around Cairo and historical sites. It was the best decision of our three week trip around Egypt. Marwa is exceptionally professional, caring, and extremely knowledgeable about ancient Egypt. By the end of the day, she felt like family! She was so attentive to every detail and prepared for everything ahead of time. She gives great recommendations for travel and helped us find honest businesses to shop with. After we left Cairo, she helped us during the remainder of our trip. She cares about your safety and well-being while in Egypt! She helped us set up a two-day Luxor excursion. Ahmad was amazing and so knowledgeable about the ancient sites in Luxor. He made our time there so memorable and easy. Spending three weeks in Egypt and listening to other tourists experiences, I truly feel that this is the best tour company that you can find. I wish I could have had them with me and my family the whole time. I am so grateful for the experiences they facilitated. It was my dream come true to visit this country and was made even better by this team!

Marwa Youssef is Insightful and informative. And on our last day when we requested to have a late start, Marwa managed to cover everything planned and still have time for a late lunch and tea in the evening at the charming old Cairo neighborhood.
Though we can see the Pyramids from our hotel window - Marwa left it till the end our day tour.
And it was genius, the big bus loads of tourists are mostly gone in the afternoon, and what's left are small private tours like us - which meant we got to have moment with the Pyramids on our own - pictures with no humans in the background, just the sun, sand and the great structures.
The boys who take you on a camel ride are also very good photographers, so let the take your pics - and tip them handsomely.
Thanks Marwa for this amazing Tour

I would absolutely recommend Marwa to anyone visiting Cairo. She will accommodate your plans and will not rush you or force you into anything you don`t want to see/do. My brother and his girlfriend recently used Marwa on my recommendation and also had a fantastic trip, he just isn`t the type to post reviews. My parents intend to visit Sharm and Cairo this summer and will also be using Marwa. If you have any further questions please do not hesitate to contact her, Marwa covers everything and even had cold water and juice for our boys in her air-conditioned car. I wouldn`t use anyone else, I don`t think you could get anyone nicer or more knowledgeable, she certainly knows her history I hope this helps. thank you Marwa

Marwa, first of all let me say that you're amazing. This was a trip of a lifetime for us and you made it all possible.

Marwa was very much engaged in our trip planning weeks before we actually arrived. Her dedication and work ethics during those planning stages was how I developed the trust and I knew I've found the right tour guide. She worked with me as I customized my itinerary and made me feel confident every step of the way. I was excited even before I left Canada and knew I was in good hands. Arriving in Egypt, everything worked as planned without a single issue. Thanks to Marwa's advise and guidance we did not try any risky planning and so there was sufficient time for sight seeing and resting as well. Her knowledge of Egypt is phenomenal and made a huge difference on how we see and understand the history, people and culture of Egypt.

Egypt is also a very safe place and at no time were we afraid. The people of Egypt are very proud of their country, very friendly, welcomes you to see their country and wants to ensure you have a great time. Thank you again Marwa for your great service to all the fortunate tourist that was lucky to find you. I love your job and thank you for making my kids fall in love with Egypt.

Laurine about guide from Cairo

This was the most incredible and unforgettable trip my family and I have every taken. Marwa and her extremely professional associates treated us like a royal family from start to finish. She is more than a tour guide, she is a professional tour guide who also provides travel assistance and arrangements. At first it was a little hard to release any fears we had about traveling to Egypt and to trust someone with planning our trip and managing sleeping and travel arrangements, but I am so glad we did.

The following is a brief overview of our trip to Egypt.
Day 1: Our extremely busy and rewarding itinerary started with being met at the airport and receiving assistance in acquiring our travel visas. This was incredibly helpful and allowed us to get out of the airport in no time. We were then taken to a hotel where we stayed for the next 3 days with a beautiful pool and views of the Giza pyramids!
Day 2: We were picked up from the hotel to Visit Saqqara, the First Cemetery (Necropolis) of ancient Egypt, and visited the First Monuments and Tombs Built by The Ancient Egyptians. There we saw the step pyramid built for King Zoser (c. 2650 BC). We then visited the open museum for Memphis, and saw the huge statue of Ramsis 2. We then continued to visit Giza's pyramids - Cheops, Chephren & Mykerions. Next we had a close-up look at the sphinx and the valley temple of king Chephren.
Day 3: We started the day with a visit to the Egyptian museum, which included a rare collection of 5000 years of art and the largest most precious collection of Egyptian art in the world. The best part, this museum included the Treasures Of King Tut-ankh-amoun! We then drove to the Citadel of Saladin, which was built by Saladin in the 12th Century and included the Alabaster Mosque of Mohammed Ali, one of the landmarks in Cairo whose minaret can be seen from any part of the city.
Day 4: On this day we were driven to Alexandria, where we visited the catacomb (a underground tomb), the New Alexandria Library, the Roman theater and the National Museam.
Day 5: On this day we flew to Aswan where a representative met and assisted us at Aswan airport. We then headed to the High Dam, one of the most outstanding architectural achievements of the twentieth century. It was constructed to replace the old Aswan dam built in 1902. Next we drove to a boat launch on the reservoir and took a boat to the Philae Temple, The Temple of Isis. It is a beautiful temple and it occupies about a quarter of the island with its huge, complete, pylons and beautiful scenes. We were then taken to the Nile cruise ship to begin our 3 day Nile journey.
Day 6: On this day we drove to Abu-simple which belonged to king Ramses 2. We then returned to the ship and sailed to Kom Ombo. When we arrived in Kom-Ombo we took a walk to the temple, which is built on a hillside overlooking the Nile. This temple was constructed in the Ptolemaic Roman era for the worship of god Haroeris and Sobek, the crocodile god. We then returned to the cruise ship and sailed to Edfu.
Day 7: In the morning we traveled by horse carriage to visit the Temple of Edfu which is dedicated to Horus, the falcon-headed god. We then returned to the cruise ship and sailed to Luxor. When we arrived in Luxor we traveled to see the incredible light show at the Temple of Luxor, which was fantastic.
Day 8: On this day we headed to the Colossi of Memnon, where the remains of the mortuary temple of Amenhotep III lie. Next we traveled to the Temple Of Luxor, built by Amunhotep III in the 18th Dynasty of the New Kingdom, and completed by Ramses II during the 19th Dynasty. Then we headed to the East Bank in Luxor and visited the Karnak Temples, the greatest example of a site worship in history.
Day 9: On our final day in Luxor we headed to the West Bank and arrived at the temple built by Queen Hatshepsut, daughter of Thutmosis I, who ruled Egypt for about 20 years during the 18th Dynasty (1490–1469 B.C). Hatshepsut is the only pharaonic woman who reigned ancient Egypt. Finally we toured the Valley of the Kings and were honored to view the tomb of King Tut-ankh-amoun, the final highlight of our trip.

At the end of Day 9 we were driven to Hurghada where we spent 4 days at a beautiful resort on the Red Sea, relaxing. On the final day we were driven to the Hurghada airport where we began our trip home.

Marwa and her incredible team were always attentive to our needs and were extremely flexible in our travel plans and itinerary. We always felt safe and fully informed as we toured each archaeological site and during each of our transfers from location to location. The large air conditioned vans were in great condition and driven by professional and safe drivers. A tour guide was always with us and spoke fluent English, informing us of any roadside item of interest and answering any question we had. One more thing of interest, each day we were taken to a reputable place to learn about a product and possibly purchase a beautiful souvenir such as handmade silk carpets, hand drawn art on papyrus paper, scented oils, alabaster figurines and art, etc.

I highly recommend Marwa and her team for a guided tour and travel assistance in Egypt. We always felt like we were traveling with a friend. It will be a journey we remember and cherish for the rest of our lives. Thank you Marwa!

Nadine about guide from Cairo

Although, we had one-day tour of Cairo's must-see sights, but it was magnificent !!!
We had arranged everything with Marwa for a guided tour, from the moment of landing till our departure,
Even, she kept in touch with us, all the time before the flight to provide us with all details needed, till date,
Simply, We have seen cairo by her eyes, or you ca say by Pharaonic eyes,
She knows a lot of interesting facts of all sights, and this reflects about her professionalism,
You would never enjoy Cairo without a professional guide, such as Marwa.
I never thought that I would love Egypt and got interested in these facts without her stories and facts..

There is something what tourists can see in Cairo. I travelled with Marwa Youssef and I must say - her tour organization is perfect. There was not any delay or something that can prevent us from our plan. We saw a lot of interesting places of Cairo. Of course these are the most known sights Pyramids, near Cairo. They belong to the most known constructions of humanity. Also in our excursions I liked the first Cemetery of the ancient Egypt "Sakkara". Really interesting and informative place.
Thank you Marwa very much for the days with us which gave us so many interesting information. It was really useful rest.

Never thought that I would like something else in Egypt except Cairo!:) Thank you, Marwa that acquainted me with "other" Egypt. Elephantine Island and Kitchener Island, nights on Felucca, the Greco Roman Temple - everything is so romantic! I think this Marwa's tour is very interesting and romantic! Very nice!

Of course - Egypt is something unreal! Marwa showed us all its beauty, its grandiosity! Our tour with Marwa was very interesting and rich! So many interesting we learned and we saw! Cairo is an outstanding city - its pyramids, its Mummies...oh...everything is so sensational! Next was Sharm El Sheikh in our tour. Free day in Sharm we used as much as possible! Sand, palms, clean and warm sea! Ah:) Submarine world of the Red sea is super! Everything was so wonderful! We very glad that Marwa offered us this tour! We love Egypt!

My wife Elise, daughter Kara and I travelled to Egypt in late May/early June 2009. I had arranged everything with Marwa for a personally guided service from the moment we exited customs at Cairo until we departed Egypt 8 days later. Marwa not only was an expert and personable guide in the Cairo region, but she was able to bring together her collegues from Aswan, Luxor , Edfu and Sharm el Sheikh to provide us with a personalised guided trip that left us feeling special and most grateful to her for her efforts.
We cannot recommend her highly enough, not only as a guide but as a tour organiser. Little things like an afternoon hotel stoppover in Luxor (it was 48 degrees c)so we could freshen up before our flight to the Red Sea resort town of Sharm. We left the cruise boat earlier that morning and the hotel was a welcome break from the heat of the day. Marwa suggested it may be a good idea and it certainly was.
It was a little different being asked to send cash to Marwa as a form of deposit, however there was no need for concern. It was great to have a holiday where we not only gained a great deal of knowledge, but had everything arranged including private transport to and from every site, hotel and airport.
We have no hesitation in recommending Marwa as a guide and complete tour organiser - tell her what you want and it will be done! Nothing is too much trouble - we had to catch a 5.30am flight to Aswan from Cairo. Marwa and vehicle were there waiting for us outside our hotel at 4.30am! My advise is if you are going to Egypt talk to Marwa.

Marwa is a wonderful guide! She planned everything, and everything is accurate, she always knew what to answer, she knew a lot of things, and the whole excursion is interesting and informative! Pyramids - are grandiose creations! Tutankhamen collection of treasures - also excellent! everything was really nice! I want to visit Cairo again, to enjoy the beauty and greatness!

I am not sure, but it seems, as though sand is mixed in paints which these pictures are written with. We were in the museum of Badr - only for the sake of it it is needed to go so far to the quiet oasis Farafra. This museum amazes. Sahara is inhabited, endless and various. The desert is the same space of life. But it is more quiet here, brighter, longer, cleaner, and smells like salt of seas.
Thank you, Marwa - now I know what it is - a desert.

Thank you Marwa!!! The excursion is excellent!
Aswan - is so beautiful, colourful and quiet place! And Nile - I thought that Nile must be turbid. And Nile appeared blue, wide and clean! And local villages, painted in all colours of rainbow! :)
There are so many interesting in Loxor too! the Temple of Hatshepsut, the Colossi of Memnon, the Temple of Karnak and so on and so on! Everything is so majestic! Egypt is wonderful!
Thank you Marwa!

very interesting excursion - thank you Marwa. you acquainted us with real Cairo, together with its sights: pyramids, Sphinx, papyrus, museum, but, what is the most important - you acquainted us with culture, new one for us, interesting and unusual, traditions, way of life of habitants of Cairo. Everything was very interesting! Thank you.

We had a great time with Marwa and her driver.
I had been to Cairo 6 years previously and on a big tour bus, so I thought this time I would do it all myself.
To me surprise when I added up what it would cost for a Taxi to the hotel, hotel to the Egyptian museum, taxi to the pyramids and then all the entrance fees and taxi back to the airport, it was well worth using a private guide like Marwa.
the difference is you get a personal tour around the museum, and the other sights as well.
Her driver was always on time to pick us up and drove safely in Cairo (which is a miracle in itself.
Marwa was very knowledgeable and friendly.
I would highly recommend that you use her services.
Ask her lots of questions about where you are, she has all the answers.

We had very little time to explore the sites on offer thus including shopping and Marwa even included a fabulous lunch break, we were very happy with the package that she put together for us, it included a variety of transfers and we would advise anybody visiting the region to make use of her services as peace of mind is assured
