Fez is a city situated in Morocco that has a Mediterranean climate.  The weather changes from cold and rain throughout the winter and then has dry, hot days in the summer months, June through September.

The nights are always cool or can become cold during the winter.  This city is a superb place to visit with the many historical sites it has. There is a spectrum of monuments that hold the greatest significance in the city.  Bou Inania Madrasa became a main religious establishment of Fez as well as Morocco and earned the rank of Grand Mosque.  

The University of Al-Karaouine is a landmark that guests are partial to visiting because it is allegedly the oldest university in the world, said to have been constructed in 859. Zaouia Moulay Idriss II is a shrine in Fez that was built in honor of Moulay Idriss II and holds his tomb. Dar al-Magana is an edifice that is home to a water clock, a renowned point of interest for travelers.  Another terrific landmark to visit is Aben Danan Synagogue which dates back to the 17th century.  Inside the synagogue the gigantic Torah Ark is found. 

This is a cabinet that takes up the measurement of a whole wall and is created out of carved wood.  There are a variety of restaurants for tourists to choose from and can enjoy delicious meals.  With all that Fez has to offer for its visitors we ask that you consider making it your upcoming vacation destination.

I found Younes (Jones) on this website, discuss the trip itinerary with him by e-mails and Skype, and finally decided to go with him on the trips around Marrakech, and then on 4 days trip to the desert.
